Check your phone and choose a plan
Use an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone. Check the destination, data allowance, validity and package activation rule before purchase.

Create your account
Choose secure email, Google or Apple. Your selected destination and plan stay ready while you verify your Mutakami account.

Review and pay
Return to the selected plan, confirm the account email and complete secure checkout. The order is connected to that verified account.

Open the Mutakami app
Download Mutakami for iPhone or Android. Sign in with the same account used for the purchase and open My eSIMs.

Install and confirm
Open your plan and follow its setup instructions. On supported Apple devices, Add eSIM opens Apple’s confirmation screen. On Android, open the device setup and finish with the supplied QR code or manual details.

Open your order instructions
Have Wi-Fi available and sign in with the verified Mutakami account used for the purchase. Open the eSIM in My eSIMs or use the private installation details available with the website order.

Add eSIM and confirm with Apple
On a compatible iPhone or cellular iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17.4 or later, choose Add eSIM from your purchased eSIM and confirm on Apple’s installation screen. A supplied button may instead say Install on this iPhone or Install on this iPad. If direct installation is unavailable, use your supplied QR code or manual details.

Choose the travel data line
Label the eSIM clearly and select it for cellular data. Check your home carrier’s charges before leaving your regular line enabled. Avoid automatic data switching to your home line.

Follow the activation rule
Use the exact package instructions for activation, roaming and APN. Installing an eSIM does not establish when its validity starts, and does not guarantee a connection at arrival.

Open your order instructions
Have Wi-Fi available and sign in with the verified Mutakami account used for the purchase. Open the eSIM in My eSIMs or use the private installation details available with the website order.

Open Android eSIM setup
If available, Open Android eSIM setup takes you to the device setup screen; it does not silently install the eSIM. Finish with the supplied QR code or manual details. On Pixel, use Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add SIM → Set up an eSIM. On Samsung, use Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM → Scan QR code. Follow the prompts; menu names vary.

Choose mobile data
Give your travel eSIM a clear name and select it for mobile data. Keep your regular line only as needed, subject to your carrier’s charges.

Follow the plan instructions
Check the package’s activation rule. Turn on data roaming for the travel line when instructed. Use the supplied APN, never a value copied from a different package.
Keep your
QR code private.
Display the supplied code on another trusted screen to scan it, or use the supplied manual installation details. Never upload the code to public websites.
A QR code on the same iPhone
On iOS 17.4 or later, touch and hold the provider’s QR code in your default email app or browser, then choose Add eSIM. If the option is unavailable, use another screen or the supplied manual details.
Manual setup on iPhone
Open Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Add eSIM (or Set Up Cellular) → Use QR Code → Enter Details Manually. You may need Other Options first. Enter only the details supplied with this eSIM.

Using VPN
on your trip?
Use your pass in the Mutakami app. VPN needs an existing internet connection.

Sign in and verify your account
A verified Mutakami account is required for VPN. Use the account you want to use in the app.

Choose and pay for a pass
Review the duration and complete payment. Access begins after payment and activation of VPN access, not at your first connection.

Get the Mutakami app
Download the iPhone or Android app and sign in with the same account used for the purchase.

Open My VPNs and connect
Choose your purchased pass and an available location, then tap Connect VPN. Approve the device’s VPN configuration permission when prompted. Keep Wi-Fi or mobile data connected.
